The Full Story

Augusto Chiarle (also known as Karl Guthorm) moves between the realms of science, literature, and music. A professional Aviation Meteorologist, he has authored major publications in aeronautical meteorology (see in publisher's page: https://anacna.it/pagina.php?id=38 ) — including Wind Shear - The Invisible Challenge, Changing Weather - Metar and Automation, Emergency Management in the Era of Covid-19, and Runway Excursion — alongside a prolific literary career. He is the author of the fantasy trilogy The Immortal's Vendetta, the steampunk saga The Shadows of Mars, and the Necromancers Cycle — with both complete fantasy series available in English translation (see picture below).

On the musical front, with the band The Wimshurst's Machine he earned nine consecutive nominations at the Hollywood Music in Media Awards (2010–2018). In 2021, he launched his solo project Guthorm, securing two further HMMA nominations (2021, 2022) and an Hollywood Independent Music Awards nomination (2023) with the track Moon.
